The following article discusses how the GRE Test is scored.
GRE General Test
You will receive three scores for your GRE General Test. A verbal reasoning score, presented from 200-800 (800 is highest), a quantitative reasoning score, presented from 200-800, and an analytical writing score, presented from 0-6.
The scores are weighted, meaning you receive more points for answering more difficult questions correctly.
GRE Subject Test
You will receive one total score for your GRE Subject Test. This score ranges from 200-990 (990 is the highest).
A few of the tests will also give you a subscore. These tests include Biochemistry, Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, and Psychology. The subscores range between 20-99.
