GMAT Test Sections

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a standardized exam used by business schools to determine whether or not an individual would do well in their program. It is made up of three sections.

 

The GMAT consists of the following three sections:

The GMAT will measure your basic verbal, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing skills. You don't need any previous knowledge of business in order to score well on the GMAT. In many cases, your undergraduate coursework along with a GMAT course or prep guide will provide you with what you need to get a high score.
