The GED Math Test has two parts to it. There are 50 questions in total to answer on the mathematics test. You will have 90 minutes to complete this test. You may use a calculator to answer the first half (25 questions) of the questions. The second half of the test must be taken without the calculator.
The topics asked on this test are:
Numbers and operations 20-30%
Measurement and data analysis 20-30%
Algebra 20-30%
Geometry 20-30%
Standard grids and coordinate planes (these are not multiple-choice) 20%
The calculators will be given to you at the testing site; you may not bring in your own. You will also receive scrap paper. Currently, you are also given a list of common formulas (although this may change in the future).
The GED math section is difficult. Review the main topics and take practice exams by enrolling in a GED course.
