The day of the ACT examination has finally arrived.
Are you prepared?
The day of the ACT test, make sure you arrive at your assigned test center by 8:00 a.m. You will need to bring acceptable identification (commonly accepted identification includes a driver's license, passport, or a school ID).
Make sure you do not bring a cell phone or pager that may go off during testing.
Once you have been checked in and directed to a seat, you must make sure to wait to begin the ACT test until the proctor lets you know it is time.
During the test make sure you are not looking around the room (i.e. appearing to cheat from another student's paper) or you may be dismissed.
After you take the first two ACT test sections, you will have a short break. After the break, you will take the next two test sections. Normal dismissal time is about 12:15 p.m. If you are taking the Optional Writing exam, you will receive another short break and then you may begin the essay. Your dismissal time will be about 1:00 p.m.
